VOGUE DAILY, January 2014
'With its flurry of glittering partyies and champagen toasts, New Year's Eve has known to bring on its share of overindulgences. Come January, however, it's all about ways to get back on track, be it with the help of a few extra hours of sleep, a pore-shrinking facial, or a favorite blend of fresh-pressed greens. Here, Vogue asks five women how they plan to hit reset in 2014.
LAUREN SANTO DOMINGO, Vogue contributing edtor and Moda Operandi Cofounder
"While a relaxing trip to the beach does wonders for my psyche, it wreaks havo on just about everything else. When I return from vacation, I need a complete overhaul on my skin and hair to reverse the damage. A trip to Georgia Louise Atelier for a facial, Valery Joseph for a haircut, and the Marie Robinson Salon for color are high priorities when I return to civilization. To mentally get back into my routine, I also book weekly sessions with Ballet Beautiful's Mary Helen Bowers."
GUCCI WESTMAN, makeup artist
"January is always a big exercise and health month for me–this year, I'm doing no alcohol and no sugar...I'll have a major facial to get rid of the last of 2013 with Georgia Louise and then I will do a sun-damage treatment with Dr. Karyn Grossman at the end of January."'
