Skin experts Joanna Vargas, Kristina Holey and Georgia Louise share their sources of inspiration, signature beauty tips and complexion-enhancing essentials.
British-born Georgia Louise, 36, credits two women with steering her career: her mother and supermodel Linda Evangelista. Louise’s mother first nudged her daughter toward the industry by helping her land a job at Silks Beauty Salon in Bedfordshire, England, which led to beauty school and then opportunities with Clarins and Decleor. In 2001, at just 21, Louise opened her first skin-care spa in London. Ten years later, Louise moved to NYC, where, through a mutual friend, she met Evangelista. After Louise gave her a facial, the supermodel spread the word, and clients—from Emma Stone to Christy Turlington—soon followed. Now bespoke treatments at her Upper East Side practice are in high demand. “One facial is never the same as the next,” says Louise, who incorporates everything from radio frequency to microcurrent. “My approach is about stimulating growth and activity at the skin’s dermal level. I don’t believe in lasers or Botox.”
