For Cate Blanchett, experiencing a penis facial wasn’t without its ups and downs.
Speaking with Vogue Australia, the “Ocean’s 8” actress recalled the unique beauty treatment she and co-star Sandra Bullock tried while in New York.
“Sandy [Sandra] Bullock and I saw this facialist in New York, Georgia Louise, and she gives what we call the penis facial and it’s something — I don’t know what it is, or whether it’s just ’cause it smells a bit like sperm — there’s some enzyme in it, so Sandy refers to it as the penis facial,” Blanchett said.
The EGF Hollywood Facial includes a cleanse, an intensive TCA peel, as well as an electrifying mask for calming the skin. As described on Louise’s official website, the facial uses an epidermal growth factor serum “derived from the progenitor cells of the human fibroblast taken from Korean newborn baby foreskin.” It claims to help develop collagen and elastin.
The facial specialist revealed Blanchett, 48, and Bullock, 53, aren’t the only stars privy to this particular treatment, available for $650 at the Georgia Louise Atelier.
“I have text threads which would blow your mind from celebs, asking for the ‘penis treatment’ all the time now,” Louise told People.
